When you make a contribution to Best Buddies, not only are you providing people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to be integrated into the community and reach their full potential and achieve their dreams, you are also permitting people who are not disabled understand the value of people with intellectual disabilities. Many of our participants in our middle school, high school and college programs will become leaders in the private sector and will hold decision making roles that will shape the future of our communities. 

They will become CEOs of companies that will hire a person with a disability, landlords that will rent an apartment to a person with a disability, principals and teachers that will ensure full integration in the school system, doctors and nurses that will treat them with respect when healing them and policy makers that will lobby for the rights of people with disabilities. Additionally, Best Buddies Citizens, e-Buddies_^® and Best Buddies Jobs provide a bridge to successfully transition people with and without intellectual disabilities from school into the real world.
