Best Buddies Global Ambassador Madison Tevlin Featured in Viral World Down Syndrome Day Commercial
Miami, FL, March 21, 2024 — Madison Tevlin, who is a Global Ambassador for Best Buddies International, a nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for friendship, employment, leadership development and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), was recently featured in a viral commercial for the World Down Syndrome Day.
The commercial, produced by CoorDown and Small New York in association with the National Down Syndrome Society and others, shows Tevlin challenging many societal stereotypes people with Down syndrome face, including limited workplace, social and living opportunities. The advertisement has received over 600,000 likes on Tevlin’s personal Instagram alone and has garnered millions of views across numerous social and traditional media outlets.
This is not Tevlin’s first time representing Best Buddies and its mission of inclusion on a big stage. Tevlin recently starred in “Champions” alongside Best Buddies Global Ambassadors Joshua Felder and James Day Keith, a movie about an inclusive basketball team.
World Down Syndrome Day, which takes place March 21, is “a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012.” The theme of this year’s World Down Syndrome Day is “End the Stereotypes.” To learn more, visit the World Down Syndrome Day website.
