Jennifer Allen, Senior Director of International Programs at Best Buddies, has been recognized as one of Miami’s Top 50 Women Leaders for her dedication to global inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
With a career spanning multiple countries, Jennifer has helped expand Best Buddies’ programs worldwide. “Our mission is universal—friendship and inclusion are needed everywhere,” she shares. She works closely with Country Directors, many of whom are parents or volunteers, to challenge misconceptions and build more inclusive societies.
As a trilingual leader and certified yoga instructor, Jennifer’s approach to leadership is rooted in connection and balance. “Speaking different languages helps build trust, and yoga has taught me the emotional intelligence needed for leadership,” she says.
For Jennifer, this honor is deeply meaningful. “I’ve always been career-driven, and seeing this recognition come full circle is incredible. As a new mom, I hope it inspires my daughter to believe she can achieve anything.”
A Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, Jennifer is eager to reshape Best Buddies’ international programs and bring new projects to life—continuing to create lasting impact across the globe.
