5th Annual Best Buddies’ Mother’s Day Brunch Presented by Live Nation Raises $450,000 for Individuals With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Malibu, CA, May 9, 2022 – This past weekend, Best Buddies International raised $450,000 at the 5th Annual Best Buddies’ Celebration of Mothers in Malibu, California. The funds will expand the organization’s mission of inclusion through one-to-one friendships, leadership training, jobs, and integrated living opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
This year’s event was hosted by Author, Producer, Director, Actress, and longtime Best Buddies supporter Vivica A. Fox and featured entertainment by Singer and Songwriter, Brandy.
The event celebrated mothers all around the world, particularly mothers of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. During the event, Madeline Borkin, Vice President, Member Development and Executive Sponsor, Chief Diversity Officer Board at the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp), was presented with the 2022 Best Buddies’ Mother of the Year award.
Key highlights from the event include Best Buddies Talent Relations Board Member and Director of Philanthropy at SALXCO Rima Fakih Slaiby presenting Best Buddies Global Ambassador Joshua Felder with the inaugural Excellence in Leadership Award and Singer Brandy and SALXCO presenting Best Buddies International with a $50,000 donation to support the organization’s mission of inclusion.
This event, as always, brought together several celebrity supporters.
