Insight Global Grants Funding To Launch Best Buddies Jobs Program In Georgia
Atlanta, GA, March 21, 2023 — Best Buddies International, a nonprofit founded in 1989 by Anthony K. Shriver to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is excited to announce a generous fund from Insight Global of $60,000 to further our mission of inclusion by launching the Best Buddies jobs program in the state of Georgia.
Insight Global is one of the nation’s largest staffing companies, headquartered in Georgia, that specializes in placing short-term, long-term, and permanent hires. This generous gift was given to Best Buddies through their annual holiday season “Jobs and Joy” campaign, which offers their clients and consultants an opportunity to give back to their charity partners through charitable elections.
Best Buddies is built upon four key mission pillars: one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living. With the money provided by Insight Global, Best Buddies will focus on furthering our mission of inclusion through securing 15-20 employer partners and placing participants with IDD in integrated employment.
Major achievements thus far include early employer partners such as Omni Hotel CNN, Compass Group at Microsoft, Atlanta Country Club, Insight Global, and THRIVE Co-working.
