The daily local news highlighted Downingtown East and their 11th annual Spread the Word football game on September 14 celebrating their Best Buddies club and Special Olympics athletes. During the write-up Amy Rowe, co-advisor of Best Buddies expressed her pride in the program’s impact: “I am so proud of this program. It has changed the dynamic of the high school community for the better, making all participants more aware and understanding of all people. This program has flourished and made a positive impact on our East community.
