Welcome to our new Advisory Board Chair, Michael Kruse
The new year has brought an exciting new change for Best Buddies in Arizona. Michael Kruse, Advisory Board member has assumed the position of Board Chair, bringing in a new era of dedication and passion for fostering inclusive communities. With a notable career in banking and nearly two decades of unwavering support for Best Buddies in California and Arizona, Mike brings a wealth of experience and a profound understanding of the organization’s mission.
Having served as an executive in the banking sector, Mike witnessed firsthand the transformative power of Best Buddies’ initiatives, particularly in the realm of integrated employment. Over his tenure at Silicon Valley Bank, he observed the profound impact of the Best Buddies Integrated Employment program, where personal connections blossomed into enduring friendships, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) found meaningful employment opportunities.
In his new capacity as Board Chair, Mike will collaborate with the Advisory Board members to further the organization’s reach and impact in Arizona. He brings with him a vision of expanding awareness and advancing Best Buddies’ mission, ensuring that individuals and families living with IDD have access to the resources and support they need to thrive in our community. With his leadership, the organization aims to expand awareness and support for individuals and families living with IDD, creating more meaningful opportunities for all.
The Advisory Board for Best Buddies in Arizona plays a crucial role in the organization, collaborating closely with Best Buddies staff while serving as ambassadors for the organization within their community. Currently, both the Advisory Board and Jr. Advisory Board are actively seeking new members to join their ranks.
