Buddy Ball Fun!
DeSales University recently hosted its annual Buddy Ball, an event dedicated to fostering inclusion and community connections for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the Lehigh Valley! Members from the DeSales University, Kutztown University, Lehigh University, and Muhlenberg College Chapters were all in attendance at this fun-filled event.
The evening featured a variety of activities designed to promote social interaction and enjoyment. Attendees danced to live music, participated in games, and had lots to eat! The Buddy Ball not only provided a night of dancing and friendship but also served as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of inclusivity and support for individuals with disabilities.
The Buddy Ball has become a cherished tradition at DeSales University. By bringing people together in celebration, the event highlights the value of creating inclusive spaces where everyone can connect and thrive.
“I really like the fact that when these individuals age out of high school and college programs, there’s not a lot of opportunity for them to connect with their peers, so that’s what we foster, and it means a lot to me!” said Kasara Ostroff, DeSales Chapter President.
The event’s success highlights the importance of fostering social connections. As the DeSales Buddy Ball continues to grow each year, it provides a valuable opportunity for participants to engage with their community and one another.
