Madison Smith has been a shining star within the Best Buddies in PA community for the past four years. Starting her journey as a freshman, Madison immediately became involved in the organization and quickly emerged as a dedicated leader. As a member of the leadership team for the past three years, she has made incredible strides in advancing the mission of Best Buddies, and for the last two years, she has served as Chapter President.

Throughout her time as president, Madison has demonstrated unparalleled commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants. Under her leadership, the chapter has thrived, with 40 active members and 15 buddy pairs. Madison ensures that every match is nurtured and supported, always striving to build meaningful connections between participants. Her ability to engage community partners and introduce innovative programming has helped create a vibrant, active chapter.

In addition to her work with her chapter, Madison serves as Co-Chair of the Student Advisory Board for Best Buddies in Pennsylvania and has represented her chapter at the Best Buddies Leadership Conference in Indiana twice. Madison’s experience, dedication, and passion for making a difference are evident in everything she does.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Madison’s time with Best Buddies has been her incredible friendship with her buddy, Evan. Matched for two years, their bond is a true testament to the power of friendship. Their connection is inspiring, and it’s clear that they have become best friends who depend on each other. It’s truly heartwarming to witness their friendship grow each day, and their unwavering support for one another highlights the core values of Best Buddies.

As if her leadership role with the chapter wasn’t enough, Madison is currently spearheading the Eastern PA Buddy Ball, an event that will take place at Ursinus College on March 29. This event, which will bring together college and adult participants, promises to be another testament to Madison’s commitment to creating inclusive, fun, and impactful experiences for the Best Buddies community.
