Haute Living
One of Miami’s most philanthropic families and Haute 100-listers, the Shriver‘s, hosted a special evening for their personal foundation, Best Buddies, at the David Yurman boutique in the luxe Bal Harbour Shops. Anthony and Alina Shriver, along with their two daughters Eunice and Carolina, invited friends, family and supporters of the philanthropic endeavor to celebrate with them for an intimate shopping experience at the beautiful boutique.
In honor of Mother’s Day quickly approaching, the event served as the perfect get-together where guests could sip on cocktails and shop for Mother’s Day gifts—and even better, it was all for a great cause. The event gave back 10 percent of the proceeds to benefit the Best Buddies organization. And if you missed out, don’t fret—you can still take part in the goodwill. From now until May 14th, 20 percent of the proceeds from the iconic David Yurman 18K Gold Solari Bracelet with pearls, both online and in the store, will be donated to the Best Buddies Organization.
The philanthropic family helped put together and launch the David Yurman partnership with the organization, which includes charitable shopping events just like this on a nation-wide scale. The special partnership will culminate with a celebratory brunch honoring the incredible mothers of Best Buddies and mothers around the world on May 13th in Malibu, California, hosted by Best Buddies Global Ambassador Cindy Crawford and her daughter, Kaia Gerber.
Twenty-eight years ago, Anthony Shriver founded Best Buddies International, a global nonprofit with the mission of inclusion and employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), which has since grown to more than 2,300 chapters around the world, impacting more than 1.1 million lives annually for persons with and without IDD.
