The Leadership Conference Intern provides support to the state operations and programs department in preparing for the annual Best Buddies International Leadership Conference. This position will also be responsible for general clerical work and other programmatic projects as assigned by the department. This is a 10-week paid internship starting in June and ending in August (start and end dates are flexible).

The Program Manager for School Friendship Programs works with area schools (middle, high, and/or college) to maintain quality Best Buddies chapters. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and mentoring student leaders with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and working with faculty, campus and/or host site administration to form quality friendships between people with and without IDD.
Program Manager – Adult Friendship – Waterford, NY, New York, NY
The Program Manager, Adult Friendship works with community volunteers and local agencies that serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to develop and maintain successful one-to-one friendships. Key responsibilities include working in the community with business and civic organization, recruiting, training, and mentoring participants with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Program Manager – Ambassadors
The Program Manager, Ambassadors works with and manages Best Buddies’ leadership and advocacy program, Ambassadors. This position is responsible for the management of people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who represent Best Buddies as speakers and performers on a local and state level, and will maintain the integrity of the Best Buddies mission at all engagements.
Program Manager – Elementary School Friendship – Brentwood, TN
The Program Manager Elementary School Friendship works with area elementary schools and volunteer parent leaders to maintain quality Best Buddies chapters. Recruiting, training, and mentoring volunteer parents to act as leaders for student leaders with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Working with faculty, campus, and/or host site administration to form quality friendships between people with and without IDD.
The Program Supervisor supervises Program Managers to ensure the success of local programs, which may also include the direct management of programs as assigned. They are also responsible for overseeing day-to-day office logistics and providing support to the Area/State Director as needed.
Program Supervisor, Jobs – Brentwood, TN
The Program Supervisor is an exempt position of Best Buddies Jobs reporting directly to the Director, Operations. The Program Supervisor is responsible for the success of the Jobs program, which assists people with intellectual disabilities to secure and maintain competitive employment.

The State Director is responsible for developing an annual state plan and implementing the plan through overseeing day-to-day operations in all offices statewide, securing funding for programs and special projects, overseeing programs to ensure program consistency and success, managing local Advisory Boards and associated committees, and supervising state staff. S/he also assists and directs Program staff to ensure program consistency and success.
Area Director – Palm Beach, FL, Ft. Myers, FL
The Area Director is responsible for developing an annual area plan and implementing the plan through overseeing day-to-day operations in local office(s), securing funding for programs and special projects, overseeing programs to ensure program consistency and success, managing local Advisory Board(s) and associated committees, and supervising local office staff. S/he also assists and directs Program staff to ensure program consistency and success.
Senior Director, Jobs – Miami, FL
The senior director, Jobs is responsible for overseeing the development, expansion and continual improvement of the Jobs Program, providing direct support to national and State Jobs staff, and managing communications between national-level contacts and initiatives and local staff.
Director, Donor Relations and Communications – Miami, FL
The director, donor relations and communications is responsible for monitoring and evaluating donor database utilization and for creating accountability tools to ensure that development staff is recording donor cultivation accordingly. Additionally s/he will manage a schedule of communications between the organization and donors. The director will facilitate the preparation of all materials, and distribution lists.
Director, Development – Los Angeles, CA
The development director is primarily responsible for managing revenue for the state, working closely with the state director in developing fundraising entry points to engage supporters of every level. This position will be directly responsible for managing cumulative revenue goals and working with the team to achieve this goal.
Director, Operations – Chicago, IL
The Director of Operations is responsible for providing operational support as appropriate given state office structure. They work to ensure that office infrastructure is in place and working properly, expenses are accurately tracked, and deadlines for reports to funders and headquarters are understood and met.
Director, Leadership Academy – Miami, FL
The Best Buddies Leadership Academy is a new initiative that is specifically focused on building our work to advance our mission pillar “Leadership”. This new initiative will develop programs and opportunities to advance the leadership capacities of our participants, employers, and our network of volunteers around the world while we support them in their work to meet our global mission.
The position will support each of the leadership endeavors within Best Buddies and create protocols, strategies, and a long-term vision for the Best Buddies Leadership Academy with senior leadership. The Director will foster, and manage relationships with Best Buddies participants, corporations, and the community in offering trainings about employment, diversity education and working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to secure strategic speaking opportunities.
Deputy Director, Jobs – Miami, FL
The deputy director, jobs assists the director with overseeing the development, expansion and continual improvement of the jobs program in all markets, with a focus on quality assurance within all programs. They provide direct support to field staff through regular contact, training, and consistent monitoring of the programs.
Deputy Director, Programs – Miami, FL
The deputy director, programs is primarily responsible for assisting the director, programs in managing the maintenance, consistency, and uniformity of national school friendship and adult friendship as well as the development and execution of new national program initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting field staff with program needs to ensure consistency and quality management of programs nationwide.
Deputy Director, Development
The Deputy Director, Development will collaborate with the State Director to secure revenue programs and to promote the mission of Best Buddies. Specifically, the DDOD is expected to ensure the success of state fundraising events and to secure new corporate and individual funding

The Special Events and Sponsor Relations manager handles all auction activities, delivery of sponsor benefits, and solicitation of in-kind gifts. Manager will also assist department with additional projects as assigned.

The Benefits and Payroll Manager is responsible for processing and compliance of a $14M payroll for approximately 320 employees in 42 state offices. The manager is responsible for compensation and benefits administration.

The Employment Consultant develops relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and employers and works to create and ensure the long-term success of integrated employment arrangements.
