As a global volunteer movement, Best Buddies relies on the support of community leaders in all of our regions to further the Best Buddies mission. Volunteers who serve on local advisory boards and event committees help connect our local programs to much needed resources. Our community volunteers enhance our mission by introducing programs to new community audiences and generating philanthropic support for Best Buddies operations and programs. This is done primarily through Friendship Walks and Signature social events that engage members of the community to join our global movement. Community leaders provide and generate opportunities for Best Buddies growth on our local advisory boards by inspiring, leading, giving, and getting.
