How To Purchase the Best Buddies Specialty Plate
- Visit your local Motor Vehicle Service Center or Private Tag Agency Office (appointments may be required). Bring your Florida Driver’s License and vehicle information (plate number, year, and make).
- Let the clerk know that you would like to purchase the Best Buddies specialty license plate. Please know that you will be responsible for a one-time $25 charitable donation, plus any additional processing fees.
- Once you obtain your plate, no additional charges will be incurred for the 10-year period it will remain valid.
Purchased A Voucher? Here’s How to Redeem Your Voucher
- Let the clerk know that you would like to redeem your voucher for the Best Buddies specialty license plate. The specialty plate annual donation has already been paid for one year with the voucher, but additional fees may apply. Once you obtain your plate, no additional charges or donations will be incurred for the 10-year lifespan of the plate.
What You Should Know
i. Visit your local tax collector or tag agency office
ii. Visit a private license plate agency
B) The Best Buddies specialty license plate will be available at your local county tax collector until February 17th, 2025.
B) Download and complete the Personalized License Plate Application Form
C) Please bring the following to your local tax collector or tag agency:
i. Completed Personalized License Plate Application Form
ii. Proof of Florida Insurance (in form of a card, policy, binder, certificate of insurance or affidavit)
iii. Copy of your current registration certificate or renewal notice
iV. Remittance fees
D) Personalized specialty plates can take six to eight weeks for manufacturing and delivery. The license plate will be delivered to your county tax collector’s office or license plate agent.
