Buddy Ball Unveils the Magic of Friendship

On Saturday, March 1, Best Buddies in Missouri hosted its first ever, highly anticipated Buddy Ball at The Magic House in St. Louis. This celebratory event brought together Best Buddies participants from across the region, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. The evening was a celebration of friendship and the spirit of teamwork, marking the official start of the 2025 Friendship Walk season!
Best Buddies guests of all ages had the chance to explore the fun, interactive exhibits at The Magic House, the renown children’s museum located in Kirkwood. Elementary and middle school students were the first to arrive, jumping right in to take advantage of the unique venue. The event provided plenty of space for guests to roam, engage in hands-on experiences, and build memories with new friends and old.
One of the highlights of the evening was the lively dance floor, where many of the high school and college students gravitated towards. With their favorite hits blaring, buddies got to let loose, bringing smiles and laughter to participants, volunteers, and supporters.
We are again grateful to our friends at Raising Canes for supplying refreshments for the guests who worked up a sweat with all their dancing and exploring!
The Buddy Ball not only offered a night of fun and entertainment but also reinforced Best Buddies’ mission to create meaningful connections between individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. It was a true celebration of belonging and community, setting the stage for the upcoming Friendship Walk.
WHY WALK WITH US? 1) To build a more inclusive community by fostering friendships that last a lifetime! 2) Empower individuals with IDD with your support programs that provide connection, meaningful job opportunities, and leadership programs. 3) Be a voice for inclusion by advocating for a world where everyone belongs!
We can’t wait to see you at the Friendship Walk at Kirkwood Park on Sunday, May 4th!
