The Best Buddies Champion of the Year celebration in Florida is an annual event that honors individuals who have made significant contributions to promoting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Over the 4th of July weekend, Best Buddies International hosted its Champion of the Year fundraiser at Hotel Jerome with the theme of a Gala en Blanc.
Founded in 1987 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver when he was a student at Georgetown University, the organization has been dedicated to creating opportunities for friendship, employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) since the beginning.
Best Buddies International is thrilled to present its Best Buddies Challenge: Miami and the 25th Annual Best Buddies Miami Gala on Friday, November 17.
Giving individuals with IDD an equal opportunity to pursue employment will help make our communities more inclusive.
