Maria Gonzalez joined Best Buddies in 2018 with a background in community outreach and education. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Miami, Maria’s focus is on building strong relationships between families and the services offered by Best Buddies.
As a Family Engagement Specialist, she works closely with parents and caregivers to ensure they have the tools and support needed to navigate the complexities of raising a child with IDD. Maria is fluent in Spanish and English, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of families.
She is a firm believer in the power of community and enjoys organizing family workshops and events that foster connection and mutual support. In her free time, Maria loves to cook traditional Cuban dishes and spend time with her two children.
