Alaska is one of just a few states without a Best Buddies office to establish and support local chapters. That means people with IDD in Alaska are missing a chance to move from an environment of segregation and isolation to one where they are engaged, accepted and integrated into our schools, our workplaces and our communities.<\/p>\n
Our immediate goals are straightforward: to raise awareness about the organization and to raise $250,000 to create a full time office in Alaska. This will allow us to form, promote and administer chapters across the state. Every day Best Buddies provides the opportunity for a smile, a phone call, a laugh, and most importantly, a friend. With your help, we can make this a reality in Alaska as well![\/vc_column_text][vc_raw_html]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[\/vc_raw_html][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
