{"id":142814,"date":"2020-10-18T09:11:55","date_gmt":"2020-10-18T13:11:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bestbuddies.org\/?p=142814"},"modified":"2021-03-18T20:28:38","modified_gmt":"2021-03-19T00:28:38","slug":"meet-michael-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-3-3-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bestbuddies.org\/delaware\/meet-amy-and-donna","title":{"rendered":"Meet Amy &amp; Donna"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-142815\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bestbuddies.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/bbde-2021-amy-donna2-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/>Who knew, that on July 22, 2019 two people\u2019s lives would change for the better?\u00a0 That\u2019s when Amy Farina and Donna Distefano were officially matched into the Best Buddies program.\u00a0 Before being matched with Amy, Donna had previously been a part of the program; however, her buddy made a huge life decision to move to Florida to be closer to her mom.\u00a0 As you can imagine, Donna was extremely upset with this news so Krista and Danielle, the liaisons for their chapter, knew that they would have to find the perfect match for Donna.\u00a0 You see, Donna and her previous buddy did a lot together, so when it was time for the interview process, Krista and Danielle made it very clear to the potential candidates that there were some high expectations for this match.\u00a0 That\u2019s when they met Amy &#8211; they immediately knew that she was the perfect match for Donna!\u00a0 To say the void has been filled is an understatement, as Donna has become a huge part of Amy\u2019s family.\u00a0 They do a lot together which includes going out to eat and spending time with Amy\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p>Amy has an extremely big heart, and our chapter can always count on her to provide us with either a silly picture of them together or them smiling from ear to ear.\u00a0 Amy shared the following: \u201cA year ago, I had the good fortune to become a Best Buddy to my dear friend, Donna DiStefano.\u00a0 To say it\u2019s been a pleasure would be an understatement. Aside from being a mom, it\u2019s been the most rewarding and humbling experience I\u2019ve ever had.
