\u201cIt\u2019s fun for kids and \u2026 friendship,\u201d<\/em> Cuzner said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The article also discusses how \u201cthe game marked one of many Best Buddies events held throughout the year to forge such friendships. Others have included a Halloween party, movie outings, Valentine\u2019s Day card-making and more. Chapter adviser and MHS physical education teacher Michael Lavender, who has guided the school\u2019s Best Buddies chapter for about 15 years, said he most enjoys \u201cseeing the smiles on their faces\u201d referring to students at Best Buddies events. Overall, Lavender believes the chapter positively impacts campus climate beyond those directly involved by promoting broader acceptance.\u201d<\/p>\n
