[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”179431″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][vc_column_text]Detroit, MI, April 10, 2024 \u2014 <\/span><\/b>The <\/span>Detroit Pistons <\/span><\/b>hosted a Best Buddies Night with <\/span>Best Buddies in Michigan, <\/span><\/b>the state branch of\u00a0<\/span>Best Buddies International<\/span><\/b>, a nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for friendship, employment, leadership development and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), on\u00a0March 9 <\/strong>when they took on the Dallas Mavericks.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Pistons recognized Best Buddies\u2019 efforts to spread inclusion throughout the game. Best Buddies participants were invited to join the Pistons\u2019 high-five line, getting to meet and encourage the Pistons\u2019 players prior to the game. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The participants received free Pistons gear, and after the game, participants were invited onto the floor to shoot a free throw. The Pistons also donated a percentage of ticket proceeds to Best Buddies in Michigan to benefit local programs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
