The event featured a live DJ, food, and a photo booth. The organizations teamed up for the first time this year after Best Buddies wasn\u2019t able to put on their usual formal. Organizers say it&#8217;s important to give everyone this kind of experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor folks and adults with special needs to get the chance to dance their little hearts out and eat and get to be with people who are like them and people who support them and just know that they have a community surrounding them that wants what\u2019s best for them and for them to every opportunity possible,\u201d said Maylinda Boynton, Sweetheart American Women For Service.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses around the state donated raffle prizes for the event.
