This grant will directly impact 57 active school chapters in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area, with plans to expand into two more schools this academic year. These chapters provide invaluable opportunities for students with IDD to form meaningful connections with their peers, boost their self-confidence and self-esteem, and engage in shared activities.<\/p>\n
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from Thunderbirds Charities,”<\/em> said Lisa Cleary, State Director of Best Buddies in Arizona.<\/p>\n “Their generous contributions over the years have been instrumental in expanding our programs and fostering a more inclusive community for individuals with IDD. This latest grant will enable us to reach even more students, creating lasting friendships and empowering them to thrive in inclusive environments.
