As part of Best Buddies Philippines\u2019 Sama Sama Saturday<\/strong>\u2014a series of in-person social activities that foster learning and connection\u2014the event embraced the virtual format, allowing participants to join from anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n
During the pandemic, individuals of all abilities transitioned to online gatherings, demonstrating that meaningful social connections can thrive despite physical distance. Best Buddies Philippines continues this tradition by hosting regular virtual activities every Friday<\/strong>, ensuring that opportunities for inclusion and friendship remain accessible to all.<\/p>\n
This special poetry event marked a return to virtual programming, now in collaboration with Best Buddies Washington. Through poetry, participants explored themes of friendship and Best Buddies Month<\/strong>, fostering new friendships and inspiring creative expression.<\/p>\n
Held on Zoom and Facebook Live<\/strong>, the event welcomed 19 attendees<\/strong>, including 12 Buddies<\/strong>, 5 Best Buddies Philippines staff members<\/strong>, and 1 Best Buddies Washington member<\/strong>. The event reached over 700 people<\/strong> through multiple social media platforms, further spreading the message of inclusion and friendship worldwide.<\/p>\n
