WINNER OF THE 2016 EMMY AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING UNSTRUCTURED REALITY PROGRAM OFFERS AN INTIMATE LOOK AT THE LIVES OF YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN BORN WITH DOWN SYNDROME<\/strong><\/p>\n NEW YORK, NY \u2013\u00a0 April 18, 2017 \u2013 A&E Network\u2019s critically-acclaimed and Emmy\u00ae<\/em><\/strong> award-winning original docuseries \u201cBorn This Way\u201d returns for a third season with back-to-back hour-long episodes on Tuesday, May 16 at 9PM and 10PM ET\/PT<\/strong>.\u00a0 New episodes will continue in the 10 PM ET\/PT timeslot the following week for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n Produced by Bunim\/Murray Productions, the series follows a group of seven young adults born with Down syndrome along with their family and friends in Southern California. \u201cBorn This Way\u201d provides an intimate look at a diverse group of young men and women with Down syndrome as they pursue their passions and lifelong dreams, explore friendships, romantic relationships and work, all while defying society\u2019s expectations. The series also gives voice to the parents, allowing them to talk about the joy their son or daughter brings to their family, and the challenges they face in helping them live as independently as possible.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Born This Way\u2019 has contributed to a cultural shift in the way individuals with differences are viewed and it remains incredibly rewarding to have such an impactful series on our air,\u201d said Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP and Head of Programming for A&E Network.\u00a0 \u201cThis season we continue to highlight the shining personalities and incredible abilities of this cast of young adults who, alongside their families, fearlessly represent and celebrate diversity on television.\u201d<\/p>\n In season three of \u201cBorn This Way,\u201d the young adults will journey outside their comfort zone on a quest for greater independence and fulfillment that will include job changes, new living arrangements and evolving romantic relationships.
